Old Jail

Visit the historic Old Jail in St. Augustine, listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, to experience life as a 19th- and early 20th-century prisoner. This Romanesque Revival-style building, renovated for tours, features costumed actors sharing stories of notorious inmates and booking visitors as prisoners. Explore a vast collection of weapons and artifacts in one of the few remaining prisons of its kind for a thrilling historical adventure.

Oldest House Museum Complex & Gardens

Since 1883, the St. Augustine Historical Society has operated the Oldest House Museum Complex, offering guided tours of Florida's Oldest House. Visitors can explore the Webb Museum, Surf Culture Museum, Page Edwards Gallery, rotating exhibits, ornamental gardens, and a museum store. Open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., tours run every half hour without reservations.

Oldest Store Museum Experience

From Store to Museum

Step into a 1900 Sears Roebuck catalog at St. Augustine's Oldest Store Museum Experience, where history comes alive. Friendly clerks, a butcher, and a Snake Oil Salesman showcase turn-of-the-century inventions like steam-driven tractors, tonics, health underwear, and a goat-powered washing machine. Discover bikes, trikes, guns, ammunition, and more in this immersive, nostalgic adventure.

St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum

Climb all 219 steps

Enjoy browsing the historical artifacts in the museum. The museum includes the lighthouse keeper's suite where the infamous Lighthouse keeper and family lived.

The Lighthouse rises more than 165 feet above sea level and features state-of-the-art telescopes and observation technology that was used in the early part of the 20th century.

Villa Zorayda Museum

Villa Zorayda is a historic Gilded Age Home Museum and one of St. Augustine, Florida's oldest attractions. The building helped shape the iconic architecture in St Augustine during the late 1800s.

Learn about the Villa Zorayda's history on a self-guided audio tour in English, Spanish, or French, which are offered daily. Evening Candlelight Tours are offered on select nights during St. Augustine's "Nights of Lights" celebration.

In 1798, Don Andres Ximenez built this fine three-story coquina home for his bride, Juana Pellicer. Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of overnight guests sought refuge within our walls from war, sickness, hurricanes, and to start new adventures in the paradise of Florida, just to name a few.
