Your Guide to the St. Augustine B&B Holiday Tour

Every December 12, the St. Augustine B&B Holiday Tour takes place. Innkeepers spend weeks hanging garland, fluffing, and choosing which ornament earns the front window spotlight. On Sunday, December 6, 2026, you get to see the results up close in the nation's oldest city. Consider this our insider guide with a few tips we usually save for breakfast.

Plenty of guests turn the tour into a full weekend. Reserve a room at one of our historic St. Augustine inns.

What Happens During the B&B Holiday Tour?

The tour is a self-guided walk through 12 decorated bed-and-breakfasts in Historic Downtown, open between 1–5pm. Each inn shares several rooms with tourists, so you see the parlors, staircases, and suites up close.

Our association has hosted this tradition for more than two decades. It ranks among the Southeast Tourism Top 20 Events and still makes our innkeepers blush. This event is also an anchor to the Nights of Lights celebration, which runs from mid-November through mid-January.

Hunt for the Twelve Days of Christmas

This year, each inn presents one of the Twelve Days of Christmas. You might spot a partridge on one porch and eight maids a-milking down the street. So plan a visit with your friends, compare notes between stops, and crown a favorite together. Warning: debates over the lords a-leaping can get spirited.

Where Do You Eat and Sip Along the Way?

Two food stops round out the day. Catch 27 serves a plated lunch, and the St. Augustine Art Association hosts tastings included with every ticket.

Lunch at Catch 27

Catch 27 hosts the Foodie Event from 11am – 3pm. You pick a time slot when you buy your ticket, and slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The menu celebrates Florida's unique flavors, starting with a salad of field greens, seasonal vegetables, and housemade vinaigrette.

Next comes grilled local shrimp or chicken over cheddar-and-bacon grit cakes with sherry cream sauce. A non-alcoholic drink rounds out the plate.

Note: You can also buy a ticket without the Foodie Event and graze at the tastings instead.

Samples at the Art Association

The Art Association pours samples from 12–5pm on the day of the tour. Look for Dog Rose Brewery, DOS Coffee, fresh-squeezed lemonade from Florida Cracker Cafe, Gifted Cork, and Meehan's Irish Pub.

Then you have St. Augustine Distillery, Ancient Olive, Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille, OC White's, and Bayfront Westcott House to round out the lineup.

Dinner plans come next, along with our guide on where to eat in St. Augustine.

Which Inns Are on This Year's Tour?

Twelve inns made this year's route, all within walking distance of one another. Grab the printable tour map and plan your loop before you slip on your comfiest shoes. Historic inns come with porch steps and old staircases, so sensible footwear is a must.

How Do Tickets, Wristbands, and Parking Work?

Tickets are limited and sold online, so buy early. Grab your tickets for the 2026 tour, and they will arrive by email. The event runs rain or shine, and tickets are non-refundable.

Casablanca Inn at 24 Avenida Menendez also helps guests buy tickets in person from 12–6pm.

Swap Your QR Code for a Wristband

Bring your printed or digital QR code to the Art Association at 22 Marine St. Exchange hours run Saturday 12–4pm or Sunday 10am – 4pm. The Lightner Museum lobby at 75 King St also swaps wristbands on Sunday, 10am – 4pm.

Bonus Stops at Our Cultural Partners

Remember your wristband opens doors at local landmarks on Sunday and again on Monday, December 7. Sunday's lineup includes the Oldest House Museum, Lincolnville Museum, Peña-Peck House, and Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse.

The Governor's House Museum, Gallegos House, and Potter's Wax Museum welcome you both days. And Monday adds Trinity Church and the Ximenez-Fatio House gift shop.

Hours vary by stop, so check the map before you head out.

Parking and Getting Around

Downtown parking fills quickly on tour day, so try to arrive a little early. The Historic Downtown Parking Facility makes parking easy, and it’s close by. City street lots and the interactive St. Augustine parking finder help when the garage fills up.

Finally, Pineapple Ride & Tour offers $5 rides between stops, so hop on or call 904-615-5515. Holiday tour guests also get 20% off one-hour historical tours with code BB20.

Make a Weekend of the Garland

The St. Augustine B&B holiday tour feels easy when your pillow sits a few blocks from the first stop. Stay through Monday, and you can sleep in before using your wristband at the museums.

Our innkeepers know the shortcuts, the quiet corners, and which porch hides the partridge. Book a room under the garland.
