Bed and Breakfast Partnerships

One of the many benefits of staying at a bed and breakfast is that they have created some great partnerships with other local businesses. Be sure to ask your innkeeper if there are any discounts you can get at a local restaurant, or attraction. The innkeepers are also super in sync with all the ins and outs of the city. They will know when things are happening and can have helpful hints and tips for seeing the best side of St. Augustine. This is a great way to save money while staying in St. Augustine.

Take advantage of the free things

There are tons of free things to do in St. Augustine. During the summer, the city hosts the Night Owl Cinema Series at the St. Augustine Amphitheater. You and your family can watch a free movie and enjoy the outdoors while doing so. If you have young children, the Castillo de San Marcos, aka The Fort, is a great place to let your kids run around. While admission into the fort is not free, walking around the grounds is not. It is a great spot to let the kids burn off some of their energy and it’s right on the water so you can enjoy the view. You can also visit the beach, or take a stroll through the oldest city in America appreciating our tiny city’s big history.

Visit the Visitor Center Kiosks

There are a bunch of free coupons in the visitor center as well as the trolley stops. Why would you NOT take advantage of this? Businesses know you are new in town and want you to visit them! They are willing to go out of their way to make it as easy as possible for you to find out more about them. These rack cards are free to take and have a bunch of great information on them. You will be able to find more activities and sights catered to your tastes. And most of those business rack cards will include a coupon for a discount on services or food!

Park in the Parking Garage

The parking garage is conveniently located at the North end of town. So you can park and walk the entire length of the city with ease. And as a bonus for parking in the parking garage, you get a discount on the hourly rate. It will be cheaper for you to park in the garage instead of feeding a meter. You also get all day parking in the garage as opposed to having to feed the meter every three hours.

Take Photographs

Instead of buying souvenirs, bring along your camera and photograph your adventures. Digital images are free, minus the cost of the camera. So take LOTS of photos. Each day, set aside some time to write down what you all did. Collect ticket stubs, flyers, photos of things you did and sights you saw. I promise this will be more sentimental to you and your family when you finish with it. It will be the best custom gift you could have once your trip is over.
