St. Augustine is often referred to as the Nation’s Oldest City, one of the most walkable cities in the United States, and at times one of the most romantic places in Florida. But did you know that St. Augustine is also an extremely pet-friendly city?

From restaurants and bars to attractions and our beaches, pets are allowed in many locations throughout the city. Now, the only thing to figure out is which pet-friendly bed and breakfast you and your fur-friend will lodge in! To help you out, we’ve composed a list of pet-friendly bed and breakfasts that are located in downtown St. Augustine.

At Journey’s End

Pet-Friendly Information

At Journey’s End has two rooms that are pet-friendly; the Key West Suite and the Lewis & Clark. Like many pet-friendly bed and breakfasts, there is a pet fee charge of $35. Additionally, the inn is located nearby Flagler College and the Plaza de la Constitucion which both have large grassy areas so your pup is sure to get plenty of exercise.

Bayfront Marin House

Pet-Friendly Information

The Bayfront Marin is located right on the bayfront, one of the most popular places for dog walking in St. Augustine. But, if you’re looking for a longer adventure, innkeepers are more than happy to map a path for you and your pup. In fact, there are many amenities at this pet-friendly bed and breakfast for your pet; they include food and water bowls, loner leashes, puppy treats, and even popsicles in the summer.

Casablanca Inn

Pet-Friendly Information

The Casablanca Inn has pet-friendly accommodations on the first floor of both the Coach House and the Secret Garden. However, only a certain number of pet guests are permitted to stay at the hotel at any given time so be sure to make a reservation in advance! They ask for a $15 pet fee per night.

The Collector Inn

Pet-Friendly Information

Located nearby the Plaza de la Constitución, your pet is sure to get plenty of exercise when you stay at The Collector Inn. They ask that you make reservations through the concierge and abide by the one pet per room rule. Pets 35lbs and less are permitted with a $25 fee per day and $250 refundable deposit.

Castle Garden

Pet-Friendly Information

Although the Castle Garden is a pet-friendly bed and breakfast, it is best to call for specifics on their policy. Located just a few steps from the Castillo de San Marcos, your pup is sure to get a lot of exercise exploring the grounds.

St. Francis Inn

Pet-Friendly Information

The St. Francis Inn is pet-friendly, allowing small well-mannered pets that are 45lbs or less. Their pet-friendly rooms have direct door access to comfort you and your pet alike. It’s also located two blocks from bayfront so you can plan on early morning strolls along Matanzas River.

The Saragossa Inn

Pet-Friendly Information

At the Saragossa Inn, well-behaved pets are welcome in select rooms. They do ask that you call ahead to discuss your fur friend ahead of time and note that additional fees may apply. Additionally, its located nearby Francis Field which is one of the most popular dog parks in the St. Augustine.

Kenwood Inn

Pet-Friendly Information

The Kenwood Inn is another pet-friendly bed and breakfast with three rooms for your fur friend: Caitlin’s, Olde English, and Captain’s Suite. They do ask for a $35 cleaning fee for one pet and a $50 fee for two. Additionally, their policy does have breed restrictions in place and pets are not allowed on the furniture or bed and must be restricted to the guest room and be in a crate when they are alone.

Old City House Inn

Pet-Friendly Information

Old City House allows pet guests upon request and additional charges may apply. The inn is located just a few blocks from the Plaza de la Constitución which is a popular area for pups and owners to take a stroll.
