Gamble Jam Session

In remembrance of James Gambler Roger IV, musicians of all skill levels jam out to different songs. Those just wanting to listen are encouraged to come as well!

When: The second and fourth Saturday of every month, from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Where: Gamble Rogers State Park


Tolomato Guided Cemetery Tours

Previously a Franciscan Indian mission (Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe de Tolomato, or Our Lady of Guadalupe of Tolomato), Tolomato Cemetery was an active cemetery from the 18th century until 1884. Many people from all over the world are laid to rest here including those from Spain, Cuba, Ireland, Menorca, Italy, Greece, Africa, Haiti, France, America, as well as the graves of soldiers from both sides of the Civil War.

When: Every third Saturday of the month from 11 am to 3 pm.

Where: Tolomato Guided Cemetery in Historic Downtown


Weapon Demonstrations at the Castillo de San Marcos

The Castillo de San Marcos is the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States. Originally built by the Spanish, it became the property of the United States in 1821.

When: Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; tours are hourly: 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, 3:30 pm


First Friday Art Walk

Various art galleries throughout Historic Downtown participate in the art walk. Typically galleries display new exhibits and lively receptions. Live music and snacks are often part of the itinerary as well. This is a rain or shine event.

When: The first Friday of each month; 5 pm to 9 pm

Uptown Saturday

During Uptown Saturday, shops and galleries in Uptown host a festive party featuring special deals. Refreshments and live music can be found at various shops.

When: Last Saturday of the month.

Where: Uptown St. Augustine (shops north of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum)


Second Saturday Plant Sales

During Washington Oaks’ Plant Sales, you can find a variety of rare and unique plants and bushes for your home, garden, or patio. Admission is $4.00 per person for single occupancy or $5.00 per vehicle with up to eight people.

When: Second Saturday of each month, from 10 am to 2 pm.

Where: Washington Oaks Gardens State Park—second-saturday


First Friday Garden Walk

During the First Friday Garden Walks, a Park Ranger guides you through the formal gardens and explains the history of the area.

When: On the first Friday of each month.

Where: Washington Oaks Gardens State Park


Farmers Markets in St. Augustine

There are several farmers markets that happen year-round throughout St. Augustine. You’ll typically find locally-sourced produce, baked goods, and items for sale at each one.

Concerts in the Plaza
