Old Jail

Henry Flagler had the Jail built in 1891.

Costumed actors tell tales of the jail and its occupants, and even book you as an inmate! Additionally, the Old Jail has a large collection of weapons and artifacts for you to inspect up close and is one of just a few prisons of its kind still standing that makes for a great day of sightseeing on a historical adventure.

It would be a crime if you didn’t stop by for a visit!

Oldest House Museum Complex & Gardens

Making history accessible since 1883!

The Oldest House Museum Complex is owned and operated by the St. Augustine Historical Society. Admission to the Oldest House Museum Complex includes a guided tour of Florida’s Oldest House, access to the Webb Museum (the oldest purpose-built museum in the state of Florida), ornamental gardens, a rotating exhibit gallery, Surf Culture Museum, the Page Edwards Gallery, and the museum store.

The Oldest House is open daily 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tours run every half hour. Reservations for tours are not required.

From Store to Museum

Walking amongst all these vintage wears is like being on an expedition through time.

Watch in amazement as our friendly clerks, butcher and Snake Oil salesman demonstrate the very latest inventions for turn-of-the-century living. Get to know the latest and best time-saving miracles from the rockin’ 1900s!

Over thousands of objects from St. Augustine’s past are on display. A turn-of-the-century general store was recreated with original store counters, displays and merchandise, and the old warehouses were rebuilt using interiors from the original building. The museum is a vibrant step back in time for visitors that illustrates, in remarkable detail, what life was like in turn-of-the-century America.

Potter's Wax Museum

The Museum is home to more than 160 different wax figures, including Potter’s original collection, each one an authentic life–sized recreation of the men and women they represent.

The Museum features interactive displays and lots of opportunities for guests to take pictures of themselves with famous sports figures, entertainment icons, and characters out of history and the movies.

Open every day, except for Christmas.

St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum

Climb all 219 steps

Enjoy browsing the historical artifacts in the museum.

The museum includes the lighthouse keeper’s suite where the infamous Lighthouse keeper and family lived.

The Lighthouse rises more than 165 feet above sea level and features state-of-the-art telescopes and observation technology that was used in the early part of the 20th century.

St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum

Relive the golden age of piracy!

An exciting and educational museum experience transports you and your family back in time over 300 years to Port Royal, Jamaica, at the height of the Golden Age of Piracy.

Features over 800 authentic artifacts celebrating the history of piracy, both factual and fictional, from the 1600’s through present day.

Villa Zorayda Museum

Villa Zorayda is a historic Gilded Age Home Museum and one of St. Augustine, Florida’s oldest attractions.

The building set an architectural precedent both in style and form, which helped shape the iconic architecture in St Augustine during the late 1800s.

Self-guided audio tours in English, Spanish, and French are offered daily. Learn about the Villa Zorayda’s history including the building’s importance to St. Augustine, details about its design and construction, memories from its time as a gambling casino, restaurant, and speakeasy, and information about the original art and antique collection.

Evening Candlelight Tours are offered on select nights during St. Augustine’s “Nights of Lights” celebration.

Ximenez-Fatio House Museum

Every room has a story

In 1798, Don Andres Ximenez built this fine three-story coquina home for his bride, Juana Pellicer.

Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of overnight guests sought refuge within our walls from war, sickness, hurricanes, and to start new adventures in the paradise of Florida, just to name a few.

The Ximenez-Fatio House Museum is proud to offer a variety of specialty tours and events across an array of topics for all interests and ages.

EMMA Concert Association

Since 1979

The EMMA Concert Association brings a variety of classical concerts and events to St. Augustine throughout the year. From the Gainesville Orchestra to the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, we offer a variety of musical selections for every age range. EMMA has always been a nonprofit all-volunteer organization with a mission to produce quality music and dance performances at modest ticket prices.

Lightner Museum

Located at the heart of downtown St. Augustine, the Lightner Museum offers an immersive experience of art, architecture, history, and design.

The museum occupies the former Hotel Alcazar, a Gilded Age resort hotel commissioned by Standard Oil executive Henry Flagler. Completed in 1888, the magnificent Spanish Renaissance Revival building was designed by the prominent architecture firm of Carrère and Hastings.

At the heart of the museum’s offerings are its compelling collections. From Gilded Age furniture and vintage typewriters to American Brilliant Era cut glass and Victorian mechanical musical instruments, the Lightner Museum’s collections are rich, eclectic, and always engaging.

Limelight is St. Augustine’s only year-round community theatre! Live shows on two stages include musicals, comedies, dramas, award-winning playwrights, and family-friendly productions. In addition to staging eight live shows during each season, Limelight offers year-round theater education for ages 4 to adult.
