Sprinkled throughout St. Augustine's calendar year are 5K and 10K runs. In fact, nearly each month features a special run and some months feature several runs. It's to no surprise as the city's bayfront location and historical sites as well as Florida's naturally flat landscape make the area a truly delightful location for a light morning run. We hope this blog helps you kill two birds with one stone and plan your next Old City getaway to coincide with a St. Augustine 5K or 10K. After all, there is no better feeling than indulging in the city's scrumptious restaurants and bistros after an early run where you can even check off one or two historical sites from your sightseeing list!
The best part about 5Ks and 10Ks in St. Augustine? Nearly each run supports a local organization or nonprofit cause. So, whether you are dreaming of a better view of Matanzas River from the Bridge of Lions, want a reason to dress like it's the 80's, or would like to support local domestic violence victims, there are many reasons to join in on the community 5Ks and 10Ks.
