Ring in the New Year in the Nation's Oldest City.

New Year's Eve Celebrations

Imagine toasting to the New Year while bobbing along Matanzas River with a blanket of stars above you. Or, picture laying in the sand with your sweetheart and watching fireworks go off over the ocean. All this, and much more is possible in St. Augustine on New Year's Eve. Let the famous Nights of Lights holiday display be your backdrop this year, while you ring in a New Year.

St. Augustine may not boast the same clubs that Miami has or even the same theme parks that Orlando has, but that doesn't mean the Nation's Oldest City doesn't have plenty to offer on New Year's Eve. In fact, if you want to ditch the long lines or crowded bars then St. Augustine is likely a perfect New Year's Eve destination for you. Book your room at one of our historic bed and breakfasts - located in the Historic District - and read below to plan your perfect New Year's Eve.

Set Sail with Black Raven

The Black Raven is a local pirate ship that specializes in unique tours. This year, to welcome in 2020, they are hosting a New Year's Eve party of "Piratical Proportions." The party is adults only so those under 21 years of age will have to walk the plank. The Black Raven will depart from the downtown dock at 10:00 pm sharp, 111 Avenida Menendez, St. Augustine, FL 32084, setting sail on Matanzas River. Once aboard, enjoy interactive and live entertainment, views of iconic St. Augustine sites, contests paired with prizes, delicious party food, and complimentary party gear that will rock the boat.  Additionally, its well known that other boats sailing on the Matanzas River often set off fireworks that can be viewed from the Black Raven. Of course, prior to midnight bottles of champagne are popped in anticipation of a New Year's toast!

Attendees can opt to set up a blanket or chairs on the beach, or meander about the two-blocks of vendors and live music.
