A Dog Lover’s Guide to St. Augustine

Are you planning a trip to St. Augustine soon? Maybe wondering if you can bring your fluffy friend along? Well, you’re in luck! There are plenty of fun things to do with Fido in St. Augustine. Here are a few of our favorite dog-friendly hangouts:

Pet-Friendly Places to Stay

St. Augustine Historic Inns is an association of over two dozen historic bed and breakfast inns that offer hundreds of uniquely-decorated and furnished rooms. Several of our inns are pet-friendly, and some are only dog friendly. However, each Bed & Breakfast has a limited number of specific rooms, so it is necessary to call to make sure you receive a pet-friendly room and know the inn’s pet guidelines. You can refer to our Inn Features list for specific properties that are pet-friendly.

Pet-Friendly Places to Eat

There are over 20 dog-friendly restaurants to choose from in this old city. And because this is lovely Florida, many of these restaurants feature outdoor courtyards and patios where your dog is welcome to join you while you dine. Some restaurants, such as Salt Life Food Shack and Cruisers Grill, even have entire sections dedicated to serving dog-lovers and their precious pooches. While these places don’t have specific menu items for dogs, they can provide you with water and bowls for your pup.
