Outdoor Weddings

With so many amazing backdrops to choose from, most people celebrating St. Augustine Weddings prefer to host their special events outside. Weather permitting, Outdoor Weddings in this region feature some of the most spectacular locations for wedding ceremonies. Probably the most popular outdoor wedding location is a Beach Wedding. The white sand beaches and crystal blue waters of the North Florida coast allow for some of the most romantic wedding settings, as well as stunning wedding photography. A unique take on the Beach Wedding is the Marineland Wedding. Marineland can host up to 400 guests and offers an extraordinary wedding experience that includes jumping dolphins along with the ocean views and clear blue waters.
The Garden Courtyard at the Lightner Museum also offers Outdoor Weddings. The garden provides tropical plants, palm trees, a rock bridge, and Koi pond as the serene setting for your special ceremony.

Another extremely popular location for outdoor weddings is the St. Augustine Lighthouse. Wedding ceremonies are held on the front lawn with magnificent oak trees helping to provide one of the most unique wedding days imaginable. This is an extremely popular wedding venue, so reservations are usually required one year in advance.
The Castillo de San Marcos is one of the most notable historic attractions in St. Augustine. It was built between 1672-1695 and served as protection for the city from pirate raids and the British army. Outdoor Weddings are typically held along the North Green and afford an impressive setting and historic ambiance. However, strict restrictions are required for all wedding ceremonies held here, so be sure to review their wedding packet for more details.
Our select inns also host Intimate Weddings and afford quaint garden and/or courtyard settings for smaller ceremonies. Contact one of the inns for more information and browse our featured tips on wedding planning for your most important day.
