St. Augustine’s Kenwood Inn has been named one of the top 10 B&Bs in the United States by BedandBreakfast.com. The Kenwood Inn first opened as the Hotel LeBorge in 1865 and remained a hotel until 1979 when it became the first licensed bed and breakfast in St. Augustine, Florida.

Meet the Owner

The owner, Pat Dobosz, purchased the Kenwood Inn in 2008 and has lovingly restored much of the inn and guest rooms. Dobosz is no stranger to the hospitality industry. Her resume includes five-star hotels, meeting management firms, and management positions with Fortune 500 companies plus international hospitality industry associations’ board of directors. Dobosz also served on numerous advisory boards including the cities of St. Augustine, FL, Montreal, London, and the country of the Bahamas.

“We are honored and thrilled to be selected by BedandBreakfast.com as one of the top 10 U.S. bed and breakfasts,” Dobosz said. “I couldn’t be more proud of the inn’s staff and the care and service they extend to our guests. We are all very fortunate to be part of the St. Augustine hospitality community and are privileged to call this city our home.”

Kenwood Inn is a member of the Florida Bed and Breakfast Association, Visit Florida, St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra, & The Beaches Visitors and Convention Bureau, and Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association. They are also a member of the St. Augustine Historic Inns, where Dobosz has served as a board officer since 2009 and is currently the St. Augustine Historic Inn’s President.
