Tour the former Hotel Ponce de Leon, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built by millionaire developer Henry Flagler in 1887, the Ponce s was one of the most exclusive resorts of its day. It is considered to be one of the finest examples of Spanish Renaissance architecture in the United States. The hotel is now home to Flagler College. Public tours include the opulent Grand Parlor, the Dining Hall and the towering dome of the Rotunda, each richly decorated with beautiful allegorical images. Tour times are 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and last approximately one hour. Tours depart from the main lobby (Rotunda) of the college located at 74 King Street

Admission: 7 for adults and $1 for children under the age of 12.

Have a blast at one of the East Coast’s largest fireworks shows! The spectacular fireworks burst above the ancient Castillo de San Marcos and reflect in the waters of Matanzas Bay. The 20-minute show includes a stirring soundtrack of great patriotic music. Admission is free with the best vantage points located along the bayfront between the Castillo and along the newly restored Bridge of Lions.
