What is Romanza?

Romanza is a multi-day, multi-arts celebration centered in historic downtown St. Augustine, Florida. It’s a signature event for ‘First America’, the upcoming St. Augustine 450th Commemoration.

Romanza is a love song—a chorus of voices celebrating the City’s rich cultural legacy. It’s a collection of unforgettable experiences in music, dance, visual arts, theatre and cuisine, each framed by St. Augustine’s natural beauty, unparalleled history and architectural splendor.

With your help, Romanza is scheduled to launch in May 2012, one year prior to inception of the St. Augustine 450th Commemoration. Romanza will serve as an annual centerpiece event for First America and as an annual legacy event thereafter.

Romanza will feature major headliner events paired with performances delivered by an exceptional cast of local and emerging artists. Venues will include traditional auditoriums as well as a collection of downtown historic and cultural spaces—all within comfortable walking distance.

Romanza will attract local, regional and international audiences, stimulating local economies.
