Climb aboard the Clipper Schooner Lynx at the City of St. Augustine Marina and step back in time as you relive history and feel the adventure. Join the crew and hoist the sails, steer the ship, fire the main battery of six-pounder carronades and experience first hand life aboard a traditional, square topsail schooner. Get ready to rumble as you and your kids take part in this unique, interactive sailing adventure. On decks and below the Lynx, a War of 1812 privateer 122-foot square top sail schooner, evokes the life, spirit, and atmosphere of a vanished age of sail. She is fitted with period ordnance and flies pennants and flags from the 1812 era making her one of the first ships to defend our freedom. The Privateer Lynx will be offering Educational Public Dockside Tours and Educational Sailing Adventures through February.

Hours: Educational Public Dockside Tours available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Educational Public Adventure Sails are on Saturday and Sundays from 2:15 to 4:45 p.m.
Admission: Dockside tours are $5 per person (Children under 12 are free) Adventure Sails are $55 per adult, $30 for children under 12 and $45 for active military and seniors.
Nights of Lights

Millions of white lights create a magical holiday atmosphere in the Nation’s oldest city during the 17th Annual Nights of Lights Celebration in St. Augustine, Florida. Tracing its origins to the Spanish tradition of displaying a lighted white candle during the Christmas holidays, the spectacular lighting reflects the city’s 445-year history while creating a beautiful setting for special memories.
A dazzling array of special events and activities await visitors. Nighttime tours of ancient buildings and inns led by storytellers in period clothing, rollicking train and trolley tours through the narrow brick streets, art walks featuring more than 30 galleries serving free holiday refreshments on the First Friday in December and January, special Saturday night antique shopping events, a dazzling regatta, Florida ice skating, luminaries in the town plaza, holiday concerts – even a Christmas parade – are among the special events to be added to the memory books of visitors and residents alike.
The Nights of Lights will sparkle in St. Augustine through January 31.

Based on the memoirs of famous burlesque stripper Gypsy Rose Lee, "Mama" Rose is determined to break into show business by pushing the vaudeville act of her younger daughter, Baby June. But it's shy elder daughter Louise who will one day play to packed houses. Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday Matinees at 2 p.m.

Actors with a Cause will present Tennessee Williams’ classic Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, directed by award-winning playwright Lorraine Portman in the Flagler Room at the former Ponce de Leon Hotel (Flagler College). The performances begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 4 p.m. on Sunday. Each performance will be in celebration and to benefit the retirement of Rabbi Samuel Cywiak, 91, who has served the Congregation Sons of Israel in St Augustine since 1992.

Gamble Rogers balanced a love of balladry and folk songs with a passion for the oral tradition and storytelling. The son and grandson of influential architects, Rogers was described as both a "modern troubadour" and the "resurrection of Will Rogers and Mark Twain". Rogers was a master performer--enchanting an audience with Travis-style guitar finger picking and relating downright rib-tickling tales about the inhabitants of the fictitious Oklawaha County.
The Atlanta Constitution called Rogers, "an American treasure worthy of inclusion in the Smithsonian". Rogers was just hitting his peak when he died, on October 10, 1991, trying to save a man from drowning. The recreational area in Flagler County, where the accident occurred, was later renamed, "The Gamble Rogers Memorial Park".
